This practice involves gentle stretches and strength-building supported by a chair, coordinated with breath awareness, guided meditation, and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. These classes are intended for adults ages 55+ and for anyone who would benefit from the support of a chair during their yoga practice. There is no need to get up or down from the floor, and any standing postures are supported by the chair with the option to practice from remaining seated.
Chairs, yoga blocks and straps are provided. I suggest wearing comfortable clothing that does not restrict your range of motion.
Drop-in: $8 per class. Pre-registration: $50 for 8-session series

This practice involves gentle movement, breath awareness, laughter and social connection designed for older adults with limited mobility.
Ease stiffness and chronic pain.
Maintain and improve range of motion, strength, and balance.
Exercise cognition, left/right brain connection, and coordination.
Build community through this fun and accessible practice in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Most of each class is practiced seated in a chair, with occasional options for standing postures holding onto the chair for support (seated versions always available).
Open to all residents of Hillside Terrace.
