Gentle Chair Yoga (Drop-In or Pre-Registered; Open to Public)

Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Maintain Your Independence program through Pender Islands Health Centre

Pender Island Community Hall

4418 Bedwell Harbour Road

S,DÁYES (Pender Island, BC)

This practice involves gentle stretches and strength-building supported by a chair, coordinated with breath awareness, guided meditation, and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. These classes are intended for adults ages 55+ and for anyone who would benefit from the support of a chair during their yoga practice. There is no need to get up or down from the floor, and any standing postures are supported by the chair with the option to practice from remaining seated.

Chairs, yoga blocks and straps are provided. I suggest wearing comfortable clothing that does not restrict your range of motion.

Drop-in: $8 per class. Pre-registration: $50 for 8-session series

Current Tuesday Series: September 5 - October 24, 2023

Current Thursday Series: September 7 - October 26, 2023

To Pre-Register: Contact Andrea here

Although they are divided into 8-session series, these classes typically continue year-round one series after another.
